Introduction:

Iranologie.com is a private project that has been on the web since 1996. The first phase of iranologie.com appeared under a personal URL, and was not very easily accessible. However, since then, I have managed to find a permanent home for this collection of essays on Iranian history and culture, and the pictures and others resources that go with it.

In this site, you will find four different sections. Iran Page is designed to give the necessary introduction to the country for the people who do not know much about it. Literature Page was an effort to put some Persian poetry and classical writings on the web, at the time that similar pages did not exist. Picture Page contains some pictures of historical places in Iran. I hope to be able to upload more of my pictures on this site and make it more useful. History Page is the heart of this website, and the section I work on the most. I am hoping that I can manage to write a comprehensives survey of Iranian history in this site. Although for now it includes an overview of Iranian history from the pre-historic times, I am doing my best to update its contents and present a scholarly view of Iranian history. Various articles about Zoroastrianism, Iranian Language Family, and other historical arguments can also be found in the history page.
