(In the village of Kandovan, Iran, August 2005) Biography?My name is Khodadad Rezakhani, known to friends and family as either Khodadad, Khodi, Daadi, or Yo!:) I am 31 years old, and am currently a PhD candidate of History (diss.: "Empires and Micro-Systems: Sasanian Economy in Late Antiquity and Early Islam, AD 500-750) at the UCLA. I have previously earned a masters degree in economic history from London School of Economics (LSE). I was born on 13 August 1976/ 22 Mordad 1355, in Pars Hospital, Tehran, Iran. I grew up in northern Tehran (or Shemiran) and consider that area my home, but have also lived in England and Germany intermittently. However, since 1995, I have lived almost continuously outside Iran, in the United States, England, and in Germany and some other places in between, but I go back to Iran for visits and research regularly. Other than academic stuff, I am interested in music (Queen, Pink Floyd, Judas Priest, mostly 70's and 80's), novels (I love the classics), and Belgian comics (Tintin, Asterix, Lucky Luke, Spirou et Fantasio, etc...)
